We are pleased to announce that William was one of the artists featured at Ben McGinty's Art Bender Weekend at The Gallery at the End of the World, 2475 N. Lake Avenue, Altadena, CA 91001, from July 31st through August 3rd, 2008.
A wonderful and successful time was had by all!
William was invited to join the Artists of America Annual Art Sale & Silent Auction Fundraiser, which was held on April 20, 2008.
All Proceeds from this fundraiser went to the Violet Parkhurst Memorial Art Classes for foster children in So. California
William's piece "Inner Light" has been featured on musical artist Denise Fernauld's CD, "Contemplations To Peace." Her dedication reads:
"To my new friend and gifted artist, William Hicks, for the use of your inspired painting "Inner Light," that is used throughout this CD artwork."
On June 8, 2002, artist William R. Hicks, a member of the Mark Klass Too "Next Generation" Chapter for City of Hope, dedicated his painting entitled "Torch Pass" to City of Hope. It depicts passing the torch from generation to generation and hangs at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte to inspire future generations of supporters. The dedication was attended by over 40 individuals, which included chapter members, friends and family.
